In 1992 began helping overweight individuals pass their Physical Readiness Tests (PRT) while serving in the U.S. Navy. After serving 4 years, I began my Personal Training career at Gold's Gym Hawaii. After marrying my husband and moving to Beaufort SC, I was hired as the Fitness Specialist at the Naval Hospital. Most of my responsibilities were helping active duty and post-rehab patients get back on the road to fitness after injury or illness. Our move to Okinawa Japan gave me the opportunity to work for Europa Sports where I was the supplement advisor, counseling and training active duty marines and family members on nutrition and supplements. Japan is where my love of competition truly began as I competed in Fitness, Figure, and Bodybuilding. I continued to compete in Figure and work as a Personal Trainer and Figure Coach when we moved to Monterey CA. Then I spent 3 years coaching and training other figure competitors at the Sport and Health Club in Fredericksburg VA. We are now back in Okinawa until 2011. I've began personal training at Risner gym and offering figure prep for ladies doing the local shows here. Fitness is a huge part of this island because of the large military population and the beautiful weather Japan offers.
